MS. Tilaro's Emerging Infectious Diseases class:

Recommended resources for your Photo Story project on infectious mononucleosis:

1.  Photo Story 3 is a free Microsoft program: you could download it at home to work on this project or to do other "Show-and-Tell" projects for yourself. Check it out at: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/digitalphotography/photostory/default.mspx

2. Clip art and possibly photographs. You need to use images that are royalty-free (so you don't have to pay to use them) and you need to cite them so you give proper credit to the people who own them.
http://search.creativecommons.org/  Best access to images for projects
http://copyrightfriendly.wikispaces.com/  Extensive--but sometimes confusing--list of copyright friendly sites for music, pictures, quotes, etc.
       Best-of-the-best:

3. Music and sound effects: to incorporate background music into your class productions (this one and any others), we'd like to suggest that you use these online sources, rather than using commercial cds for which you don't have re-use licenses:

http://www.soundzabound.com/   ask at the library desk for the UserID and password for this great database. Use the menu on the left side: click on >category for the best access.
